ANNULAR RING SHOULDER STUDS: Used to fasten corrugated metal roofing and siding material to structural frames.
LENGTH (A): Length is before weld. Stud will be approximately 1/8" shorter after welding.
LENGTH (B): Available in required lengths above the standard minimum.
MILD STEEL: Low carbon steel.
- Mechanical Properties (as cold drawn):
- Tensile: 55,000 psi min.
- Reduction in Area: 50% min.
STAINLESS STEEL: Type 304 is recommended for use with aluminum sheets. Can be used with galvanized sheets at the customer’s option.
FERRULES: All orders for studs include required ferrules.
PLATING: Cadmium to ASTM specification A165. TS is recommended for use with corrugated galvanized sheets.
ANNEALING: Annular Ring Studs are not annealed.
FLUX: Studs are solid fluxed.
ALUMINUM CAPS: Are designed to fit over stud extension so that the subsequent setting of the cap provides a tight weatherproof seal. Aluminum caps are ordered separately.
